International Legal Affairs
Job description
In recent years, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), regardless of whether they are located in urban or rural areas, and regardless of their size, have tended to do more and more business with overseas companies, and this trend is expected to continue.
We provide legal checks of contracts as well as research on administrative and other laws and regulations when purchasing products from or selling products to overseas. However, for larger cases or those requiring a high level of expertise, we may work with attorneys who have more expertise and experience in the relevant area (e.g., the United States, China, Southeast Asia, Europe, etc.) or the field of practice.
Moreover, we provide support not only for transactions with overseas companies, but also for Japanese companies entering to or exiting from overseas markets, including legal investigations.
On the other hand, in private practice, the firm handles international divorces in the U.S., the Philippines, Korea, and other countries, as well as issues about inheritance of overseas assets related to those residing abroad, and other matters related to immigration law, such as inheritance residence permits.
